First Worn: Photoshoot 2022
Ever since Overture came out, even before it came out actually, I knew I wanted to make costumes from it. JH Williams III’s art is just so beautiful! His art is so inspiring, I knew I wanted to try what I could to replicate the painterly texture with layers of texture on the fabric. I’m not sure it really came across once underwater, and I didn’t have time to do everything I wanted, but I was fairly pleased with how it came out.
Doris wanted to do more underwater photography, so! I went for it! Put this together in a pretty short amount of time.
Since wearing it, with the news about Gaiman I’ve decided to retire all my Sandman costumes and have been working on updating this to a more generic fantasy something.
